Usagegames or games 'game number'

games by itself will list all the games currently being played. This is useful for deciding which game to observe.

games plus the game number will list the information only for that particular game number.

Here is a partial sample list of games displayed by using the games command without a client:

Here is the display from the 'games 326' command.

In the example above, the top line shows:

##   (game number)
white name   (the white player)
[ rk ]   (the player's rank, or rating if the player has a rating)
black name   (the black player)
[ rk ]   (rank or rating)
Move   (the current number of moves played)
size   (the board size)
H   (handicap)
Komi   (komi value)
BY   (the byo-yomi period, or overtime period)
FR   (flags)
###   (the number of people observing this game).


The F and R flags

If the game is a free (not rated) game, there will be a F under the F column. If the game is a teaching game, there will be a T under the F column.

The type of game will be listed under the R column.

I   = IGS Go games
C   = Chinese Chess
GOE   = GOE Go games (Ing Rules)
P   = GOE Pro Go games (pmatch)
S   = Shogi
