Usage: observe 'game number' The observe command is used for observing any game currently being played. To begin using the observe command, first list the games being played by using the games command, and then choose which game you would like to observe by using its game number.
Soon after, an observation window with the game you selected will appear, and you will be listed in the who list with a number next to your name under info, indicating which game you are observing. To stop observing a game, you can use the unobserve command, or you can use the same command that you used to observe a game. The observe command can be used to observe and unobserve a game. Example, if you were observing game 56 and wanted to stop observing game 56, use:
Some clients have "time control" to compensate for net lag. These clients time a player's move starting from when the move is made, not when it reaches IGS. In such cases, the time, or clock, appears to jump as each correction is made. Some people misinterpret this time correction as cheating. |
