I wanted to be a career woman! Putting aside the question of whether I had the ability to be a career woman (laughter), I was really fascinated by the sight of people on top of their jobs like my father.

Going to the office in a suit, meeting and talking with all kinds of people, working around the world. Wouldn't it be neat if I could go on business trips overseas and speak foreign languages fluently? I had fantasies like this when I was little.

When I was a kid and saw my father going to the office in his suit every morning, I thought he was fantastic. As I got older, I realized that while going all out at his job, he also valued the time spent with his family and playing a lot with his kids, so I realized anew how great he was.

I would have wanted to be a career woman, but my sister's (Kana 2-dan) choice might surprise me. I'll have to ask her next time I see her. (laughter)
