[ No.18 ] The Akimitsu family |

The Akimitsu family came along to root for their daughter Kana, who was playing in the goodwill Pair Go match. Everyone was friendly in the tournament hall – it was a really nice atmosphere.
Kana’s older brother is studying as an insei (apprentice professional) at the Nihon Ki-in. Her father’s really fond of go too, and last year he paired up with Kana in the Pair Go tournament, but apparently he was rejected this year. ‘She said she’d play with me again next year,’ her father said happily.
I hope that the Akimitsu family keeps enjoying go in a variety of ways and that they create marvelous family memories. |
