[4]Amateurs

· Amateur tournaments usually have three or four rounds a day, and all-Japan tournaments are usually held over two days. Amateur players usually have jobs, so they can't take off more time than that. The custom of having long vacations hasn't really become established in Japan, so lots of players wouldn't be able to compete if the tournament took longer than two or three days. Japanese amateurs are envious of Europe and the USA, where family-oriented tournaments lasting up to two weeks are held.
