This is the type of person with a good memory for detail who excels not only in Go but also in sports, history, geography and so on. There seems to be a tendency in the West for specialists in and students of mathematics and physics to take an interest in Go, so they would belong to the category described above. |

| · There is another type of person who understands Go intuitively. When they take up go, they dislike discussing it logically and they believe in their feelings and intuition. No one can say whether the logical type or the intuitive type has the advantage in Go, which perhaps shows how profound the game is. Players of both types have often become the number one player. Whether you study logically or decide intuitively, the values don't differ so much. It may be difficult for a player of one type to understand a player of the other type, but they respect each other.
